What we are looking for
We are seeking a Project Manager with a strong background in payments and financial services to lead and drive high-impact projects in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience managing projects in Agile environments, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery while coordinating cross-functional teams.
As a Project Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing end-to-end payment-related projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives, regulatory compliance, and seamless execution. This position requires excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
What would you be doing
Project Planning & Execution
Lead and manage payment-related projects from initiation to completion, ensuring delivery within scope, time, and budget constraints.
Define project objectives, scope, deliverables, and success metrics in alignment with business goals.
Develop and maintain project plans, roadmaps, and timelines, ensuring clear milestones and dependencies.
Experience in Agile methodologies is a plus.
Stakeholder Management & CommunicationCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, Compliance, Operations, and Sales, to ensure seamless project execution.
Serve as the primary point of contact for project updates, ensuring clear and consistent communication with internal teams and external partners.
Manage risks, issues, and change requests, proactively mitigating potential roadblocks.
Present project status reports and key performance metrics to leadership and stakeholders.
Payments & Financial Services Expertise
Ensure projects comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards in Mexico’s financial ecosystem (e.g., Banxico regulations, SPEI, CoDi, and other payment networks).
Oversee integration of payment solutions, including acquiring, cross-border transactions, digital wallets, and real-time payments.
Stay updated on emerging trends in fintech and digital payments, identifying opportunities to enhance payment processes.
Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement
Drive process improvements in project execution, optimizing workflows and eliminating inefficiencies.
Implement best practices in Agile project management, enhancing team collaboration and project visibility.
Utilize project management tools (e.g., Jira, ClickUp, Trello, Asana) to track project progress and documentation.
What do you need
Technical & Industry Expertise
5+ years of experience as a Project Manager, preferably in payments, fintech, banking, or financial services.
Strong understanding of payment ecosystems, including SPEI, CoDi, card processing, payment gateways, cross-border transactions, and regulatory frameworks.
Experience working with APIs and payment system integrations.
Familiarity with security and compliance standards in payments (e.g., PCI DSS, AML, KYC).
Project Management & Agile Skills
Strong experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and ability to manage Agile projects effectively.
Certification in PMP, Scrum Master (CSM), or SAFe is a plus.
Excellent ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.]
Proficiency in project management tools (Jira, Confluence, ClickUp, Trello, Asana).
